ENGINES OF FORMULA 1

In this 2014 Formula 1 season, there are three motorists, Mercedes, from Germany, Renault, from France and Ferrari, from Italy.
This year the engine is a V6 Turbo. This is a Renault engine.
In all the seasons, FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) show them how is going to be the engine, how many cylindres, with or wihout Turbo, how many liters of fuel per race, and some other technical things about the engine. Then the brands designs it and build it. They have the engine ready for a race. But who is going to use it? All Formula 1 teams have signed a contract between the motorists and the team, for example Red Bull uses Renaut engine like Lotus, but Force India and Williams use Mercedes, and Marussia uses Ferrari as Scuderia Ferrari. But if some team is unhappy with the motorist, he can change it, for example last year Williams used a Reanault engine and this year is using a Mercedes engine.

MONZA, GP ITALIA

Since September the 3rd of 1950, Formula 1, always has got an Italian Grand Prix celebated at Monza, excepting on year 1980 when was celebrated on Imola.
Monza is home of Ferrari Fans called "Tifosi" and a place where lots of things has happened, good things like the 4th place for Niki Lauda on his first race after his terrible accident in 1976, and also unfortunately bad things like the fatal accident of Jochen Rindt where he lost his life in 1970. We sure that Monza will continue in the Formula 1 calendar as the most celebrated GP of this cathegory.

INTERNAL BATTLE IN MERCEDES

At the start of the 2014 season in Australia, Nico Rosberg won and Lewis Hamilton couldn't finish the race because of problems, but the British have won last three races with Nico finishing 2nd so now Hamilton and Rosberg are separed by four potints in favor of the last one.
Now the main question is who will take more points than the other? Lewis Hamilton or Nico Rosberg?
But also we have to know that maybe Fernando Alonso or the two Red Bull drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel, can play an important role in the battle for the championship and they could be decisive in the Mercedes internal battle.

WHY THE RED BULL DOESEN'T WORK LIKE LAST YEAR?

Last year we saw untouchable the Red Bull wining 13 races of 19, and Sebastian Vettel becoming four times world champion when was three races remaing to the end of the season, so what is happening this year, with the best result a 3rd place at Malaysia?
Is difficult to know the answer, one of the problems, could be the engine powered by Renault, but also could be the aerodynamics, we have to know that they didn't make practiste at Jerez because of elecric and engine problems. But of course the most important thing will be all the changes have suffered Formula 1 since last year, because maybe Red Bull hansn't adapted quite good as the Mercedes.

TYRES

In all the races, the tyres join a very important role and maybe sometimes you heared "the soft tyre is faster than the medium", sometimes if you don't choose the correct tyre you will have to go to the box more times than your rivals need and almost always win or lose depends on the tyre strategy and also how do you manage them in all the GP, Pirelli bring two types of tyres, the soft and the hard, but if rains you always have wet tyres.

Do you know how many kind of tyres there are in Formula 1?

Super soft: Is the red one, and is the softest tyre of all.
Soft: Is the yellow one, is soft but a little bit much harder than the Super Soft.
Medium: Is the white one, and isn't hard and isn't soft it's medium.
Hard: Is the orange one and is the most hard tyre of all.
Intermediate: Is the green one, and it's for condicions between dry and wet.
Full wet: Is the blue one, and it's for heavy rain, for total wet condicions.

In all GP, like I have said before, Pirelli only brings two dry tyres and one of it have the soft role and the other one have the hard role.
In Monaco there are the Super soft and the soft, but in malaysia there are the medium and the hard. It changes depending of the track.

1984 MONACO GP

The 1984 Monaco is one of the most important and also interesting GP in all Formula 1 history long.
Is raining a lot in Montecarlo and Alain Prost with the McLaren is on the pole position followed by Nigel Mansell on the Lotus. Clasificated 13 there is the rookie in his first GP of Formula 1, with the Toleman the Brazilian Ayrton Senna who did a brilliant race. A race in which only finished 8 drivers.

WHY SENNA IS CONSIDERATED THE MOST SUCCESFUL DRIVER EVER?

Maybe one of the reasons is because he is a triple world champion (1988,1990 and 1991) we sure that the most important thing is that he was so inteligent and also he had a diferent diriving style, more agresive than the other drivers.
He breaked later to take the curve faster, but this was a problem because the rear wheels will drift and maybe lose the control of the car, but he knew an amazing way to control the car, a great example is the qualifing of the Australian GP of 1985, he drove for Lotus. Take a look.

SPANISH GP

The Spanish GP have been in the season calendar since 1991 when Nigel Mansell won for Williams and carried the famouse battle between Ayrton Senna and him in the main straight which is in the picture.
The circuit have a 4.655 km length and the total race distance is about 307.140 km so the number of laps will be about 66 in total. The fastest ever lap was from Kimi Räikkonen on 2008 with the ferrari.

CAN ANYONE BEAT THE MERCEDES?

The start of the 2014 season have been dominated by the two Mercedes and their drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. And now the main question is if can anyone beat the Mercedes? And if the answer is yes, who is going to beat them?
We don't know the answer yet, but in the next Grand Prix in Spain we could know maybe one of these. Because almost always in the Spanish GP all teams bring new pieces for the car, sometimes succesfully and sometimes unsuccesfully, also the main important candidates, are Fernando Alonso with the Ferrari and the two Red Bull drivers, the world champion Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo, so we will see.
